This is the first painting in a new series serves as a visual social history, documenting the transition from the Caribbean to Britain and the generational shifts that follow. My work explores the dualities of immigration and social mobility.

Through a storytelling style designed to provoke personal inquiry, I examine how these transitions reshape our relationships with our parents, our children, and our national identity. Though this project began four years ago, a period of intensive research has provided the clarity needed to bring this narrative to life. My goal is for these paintings to act as a mirror, helping viewers understand their own lineage and their evolving place within society.
